Teagan and Braydan are the two of our LTNNSW TAFE Scholarship recipients and are both based in Grafton.
Teagan is using her scholarship money to buy a laptop computer and to assist her with expenses for travelling to the World Skills Competition in Perth in September. She is a committed young chef with a flair for pastry work and plate design.
Braydan is a young chef who has had a lot of adversity for one so young. With the money from the Lord Taverner’s Scholarship, he hopes to equip himself with some knives and chef supplies. Braydan hopes to continue his apprenticeship through to completion at The Aussie Hotel in South Grafton.
Aspyn was also recently awarded this Scholarship and is based at the TAFE Campus in Coffs Harbour. She is 16 years old and goes to the Jetty High School whilst also studying a TVET Early Childhood Education and Care course each Wednesday. She enjoy sports and catching up with her friends. She currently works part-time and would love to work with children in the future. “I am very grateful to receive a Lord’s Taverners Grant so I can purchase a laptop to use for my studies.”
We wish them well with their training this year.
