Update No 2
Our Cricket Placements Program and the Adam Gilchrist Cricket Scholarship.
Our 4th and final cricket placement for 2015, Ryan O’Neill from Wee Waa, north western NSW, arrived at St Alban’s CC at the end of June for a 3 month term. St Alban’s club executive member, Paul Sands, reported to me that Ryan’s trip was good and he arrived rearing to play.
Our other players in the UK are going along well. Adam Gilchrist Scholars Nathanael (at Richmond CC – has scored 3 centuries in 5 matches for their 2nd XI), and Meg (has played in 2 matches for Lancashire County, unfortunately they lost both) but the weather has been a problem with some of their club matches. Meg also was the first female cricketer ever to play in the North Manchester Men’s League.
Eliza in Cumbria has been on the road playing away with a women’s team and is also playing with a men’s team at home.
The weather has been a problem with all our players, it has been very wet and very cold!!!!
